Biographical Information

Justus Rising was a Professor of Practical Mechanics. In 1936 President Elliot formed the Audio-Visual Aids Committee to cultivate and centralize audio-visual activities at Purdue. Justus Rising joined and chaired this committee. Rising was a strong advocate of audio-visual education and was instrumental in gathering support for the establishment of the Audio-Visual Center.
