The correspondence series is primarily comprised of letters and telegrams from Fred Noonan to Mary Beatrice Noonan sent home during his June – July 1937 world flight attempt with Amelia Earhart. Also included are telegrams to moviestar Eugene Pallette, a telegram from Amelia Earhart to Mary Beatrice Noonan, and letters from George Palmer Putnam to Mary Beatrice Noonan.
