Photograph albums

Photo album, leather cover, black paper pages, and string binding, compiled by George Marshall McDougle, class of 1926. Contains personal photographs of West Lafayette High School students, Purdue University students, family, and nature scenes.

The Glennard Miller scrapbook contains 24 pages of photographs affixed to black paper documenting student life at Purdue in the late 1910s and early 1920s. Images include campus scenes, student activities, sporting events, military band, and steam engine lab, as well as photographs documenting the incident of Harry Weinshank being run off campus by his classmates for repeatedly impersonating a military officer.

The Herbert S. O'Brien papers contain materials that were created by, received by, or that are about Herbert O'Brien. Contents include, but are not limited to, a Class of 1915 photo album, photographs of O'brien, letters, notes, newspaper clippings, and various publications.

The Owen Hall records document the history of Owen Hall, a residence hall on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus. The collection includes photographs, guide books, newspaper clippings, administrative documents, and optical disks.

The Clarence B. Richey papers (1940s-1990s) document the professional and scholastic career of Clarence B. Richey. Types of materials include: photo-and-slide albums, blueprints, instructional materials for courses, notebooks and workbooks, photographs, negatives, films, books, microfilm, and slides.  The papers are organized into five series, three of which have been further arranged into sub-series.

The Charles C. Roberts photographs (1946-1949; 0.25 cubic feet) documents Roberts’ student and family life as a student at Purdue University from 1946-1949. Included in the collection are photographs of campus buildings such as Cary Quad, Purdue Memorial Union, Hovde Hall and Heavilon Hall. Also included in the collection are photographs of students wearing the Senior Cords. Among the photographs are images of Roberts' family and home life.

This series includes scrapbooks and photo albums Byrkett created about life events, conferences, and vacations.

The Lawrence Senesh Papers (1949-2004; 11.25 cubic feet) documents the work of Lawrence Senesh. Types of materials include activity books, correspondence, phonograph records, problems books, resource guides, scriptbooks, and textbooks. Most of the materials in this collection pertain to Senesh’s work on the Our Working World textbook series developed and written for primary school students.

Photographs, certificates, and artifacts documenting Miller J. Tonkel’s time at Purdue University in the early 1940s.

The Loretta Mae Wallace photo album was created by Wallace during her time as a Purdue student from 1906 to 1910, with most photos dating to 1908-1909. Photographs include campus scenes, buildings, Lafayette and surrounding areas, Mechanics Burning, a visit to Indiana University, Civil Engineering projects, and other scenes of student life.

The John Wendling photograph collection contains photographs and postcards from the international and domestic travels of John Wendling. He took pictures of several places in South America as well as the United States.

Includes one black, handmade photo album with gold ink titled "'Back to Old Purdue,'" featuring photographs of Purdue's academic buildings of the time as well as photographs of "The Tank," Mechanics Burning, and Happy Hollow.
