The Aldrin Family papers include an autobiography of Robert Hutchings Goddard, letters, notes, and newspaper articles relating to Robert Goddard and rocketry, compiled by Edwin E. Aldrin, Sr, father of astronaut Buzz Aldrin. The papers are organized into three series.

This collection consists primarily of articles written by Katherine Golden Bitting from the 1890s to the 1900s. Lutz was an early female scientist and genetics researcher who specialized in documenting chromosomes in plants. She was an expert in the area of chromosomes of Oenothera mutants and hybrids and has been credited with discoveries relating to the double chromosome theory.
